I am the founder of Breath of Gold™--a breathwork company that supports you in deeply connecting within. Our motto is "connect to wealth & wisdom within." We believe that everything you're looking for starts with your breath.

The main style of breathwork that we lead is Circular Connected Breath. This is just like holotropic breathwork but guided in a softer way, and done for one hour total. This is done laying down for about an hour, breathing in and out through the mouth in a circular connected way.
If you have any of the following contraindications, you may still join but we will ask that you breathe in and out through the nose; as that will be better suited for you.

Note: If you have asthma, you may still do breathwork. We just recommend that you have your inhaler with you.
Breath of Gold™ is a heart-opening style of breathwork that connects you to the wealth & wisdom that lives within you. It’s all about reconnecting you to YOU–empowering you to remember that everything you’ve been looking for lies within your breath.
The main style of breathwork in the membership is circular connected breath. Each journey is curated differently with unique playlists and guided themes designed to take you within and connect to your soul.

We LOVE it when you can attend all 4 classes. Circular connected breathwork is a deep somatic practice that can take you deeper in a series. The first class, often people are getting used to the breath and the group and by week 4, you can really go deep in the experience!
If you miss a class or two, that’s fine. You’re more than welcome to attend our Sunday live online classes to make up for the missed classes. Our Sunday online classes are from 5:30-7pm PST. If you can’t come on Sunday, we’ll give you access to our online membership portal where you can do a recorded journey from Sunday’s class.
Comparing breathwork to meditation feels like comparing apples to oranges. They are very different.
Although meditation is currently more well-known, breathwork is up and coming and will soon become the new “meditation” because it’s more approachable for people.
Meditation can be too hard for people with a busy brain or ADHD. Breathwork is like finally having an off-switch for the mind. The healing and energetic shifts created during a breathwork journey make it even more powerful than meditation alone.
Breathwork is a powerful active mediation that naturally takes your body on a spiritual journey. Every single journey is different. Humans love change and that’s also part of what makes breathwork a more sustainable practice.
With every session being new and different, it’s exciting and keeps you motivated to continue coming back for more breathwork journeys.
There are SO many benefits of breathwork! Breathwork is one of the most powerful therapeutic practices for emotional healing and personal growth.
In the process we lead, you alter the state of consciousness by changing the levels of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the body through breathing in a circular connected way.
There are many benefits of breathwork including the following:
Breathwork is a powerful modality to release trauma in the body. It can often stir up traumas in the body to be released. Sometimes that comes with remembering past traumas to process them or seeing them from a newfound healing perspective to free yourself from holding onto it.
Ultimately, you know yourself best. If you are in the middle of something that is very traumatic for you right now–I would suggest not starting breathwork and going to a therapist first. Breathwork may be a good fit for you to integrate what you uncover with a therapist later once you are no longer in the middle of a severe emotionally traumatic event.
If you are concerned about what breathwork may bring up for you on an emotional level, I recommend doing your first session breathing in through the nose and out through the nose in a circular connected conscious way and seeing how that goes for you.
As always, you are in control of your journey. At any point in your journey, you may slow down the pace of the active breath, return to your natural breathing, or lengthen your exhales. Within 5-10 minutes of breathing normally again, all sensations that you are experiencing will mellow out.
Every session is completely different. Sometimes it’s common to get really cold or really hot, so we recommend that you come in layers and have blankets in the safe space that you choose to do your breathwork journey.
It’s common to experience “tetany”--or cramping of the hands, leading the hands to look like little “lobster claws.” You may also feel tingling sensations all throughout your body, most commonly in the extremities. This is completely normal and part of the process. If that happens, be with the sensations and see if you can surrender while also softening your exhales. If at any point you do not want to experience those sensations–you may always roll onto your side and breathe normally and your hands will release and feel back to normal soon.
A lot of energy releases during breathwork and these temporary shifts may be experienced during your journey, and you may feel the energy release from your body in a powerful way. And as always, you are in control of your journey–you can adjust the depth of your breath to feel less intense sensations.
