We’ve looked at multiple breathwork certifications, and we've found several missing components that we find essential. 

The first is understanding the science behind what’s happening during breathwork. We’ve hired a doctor to do the breathwork modules so you can have the best possible knowledge of what you’re teaching. We’ve made the science component of ours really applicable to facilitating breathwork so that you know exactly what you need to know to lead breathwork. 

We are also the first ever breathwork facilitator program to include the neuroscience of breathwork so that you learn the effects of breathwork on the brain and how it shifts the brain into different brain wave lengths.

We’ve also hired a therapist to teach about how to be a trauma-informed practitioner. This is very important for coaches, healers, and in breathwork. 

Most breathwork certifications out there don’t teach out to get clients. We go deep into the business of breathwork so that you can make this your business and career if you’d like it to be. 

You will also learn nearly every single style of breathwork so that you can lead multiple types of breathwork or pranayama classes if you choose.

The main breathwork style that we focus on is "Circular Connected Breath." This is where you lie down on your back, breathing in and out through your mouth for 45-60 minutes. 

In this course, you'll also learn every style pranayama and all styles of modern breathwork so that you have a variety of breathwork techniques to incorporate into your life and support your clients.

When you do your breathwork test-outs, you can choose to guide circular connected breath, three-part breath, or whichever style of breathwork you would like to specialize in. 

What makes this breathwork facilitator training different from others?

Yes, every aspect of this program is all done online, so you can join this from anywhere in the world. All of the modules are self-paced except for the optional 16 live bonus sessions, guest speaker calls, student test-out sessions, and weekly breathwork sessions. It is not mandatory that you join live, but it is highly recommended and encouraged. 

Additionally, we offer in-person breathwork retreats for those of you looking for hands-on experience guiding breathwork at retreats, email adrienne@adriennerivera.com to inquire about when the next retreat will be.

The test-outs are done online, and all of the modules will be able to be accessed immediately once you purchase it, and you will be able to access the training materials for life.

This breathwork certification is recommended to be done in 4 months. You can take longer if you need to, you will have lifetime access to the course.

Most people go through the training in about 8-16 weeks. After you complete all of the modules, there is a 50-question exam, a group breathwork test, and a one-on-one breathwork session that you must lead before you get your digital certificate emailed to you. It will have your name on it. You may print it out if you'd like once you receive it.

The Breath of Gold® Breathwork Facilitator Program is an investment in your education & career and we offer a variety of extended payment plans to meet you where you're at.

We will go over the specifics of the pricing on your application call. The pricing can vary based on different promotions that we may have running.

And we also do have a scholarship program for students that live in countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, and Malaysia.

We teach you the business and marketing of breathwork so that you can make back the investment of the training with just 1-3 clients. At Breath of Gold®, you will learn all that you need to learn EVERY style of breathwork as well as how to grow your breathwork business.

This training provides everything you need to become a confident Breathwork Facilitator and safely lead one-on-one clients, couples, and groups. You must be 18 years old or older and have done some kind inner work before embarking this training. We also recommend familiarizing yourself with circular connected breath through Breath of Gold® beforehand, although it's not required. You will have many opportunities to do breathwork and inner work throughout the training.

Yes, this is an accredited continuing education course. We are proud to say that The Breath of Gold® Facilitator Program is approved by The Yoga Alliance as an accredited continuing education program.

You will be able to log 84 credit hours with The Yoga Alliance upon completion of The Breath of Gold® Breathwork Facilitator Program.

It is also accredited by National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). You will be able to log 15 CEU's with AFAA and 1.9 CEU's with NASM upon completion of The Breath of Gold® Breathwork Facilitator Program.

Total Hours in The Breath of Gold® Breathwork Facilitator Program:

   - 14 hours of pre-recorded modules.

   - 24 hours live zoom training over the span of 16 weeks.

   - 24 hours of doing your own breathwork practice (recommended done live via Adrienne's Sunday Breathwork Classes which you'll get access to)

   - 3 hours for your test-out sessions (leading a 1:1 session & a group session) to get your certification 

   - 25+  hours of breathwork journeys included in the training for lifetime access to continue mastering your craft of guiding breathwork. These do not have to be done before graduation—they are intended to be there to support you on embodying your breathwork journey once you become an instructor.

In total—that adds up to 90 hours total of training.

Note: If students have questions, we will add bonus trainings. As we have bonus trainings, and additional guest teachers--there will be additional trainings added to The Breath of Gold® Breathwork Facilitator Program. 

While breathwork is not currently a regulated practice, and it is not illegal to teach without certification, it is essential to approach the practice with integrity and responsibility. Breathwork can be a deeply transformative and emotional experience, often triggering profound healing, and even trauma, within individuals. This is why it’s crucial to be adequately trained in not only the techniques of breathwork but also in holding space for others in a safe, supportive, and informed way.

At Breath of Gold®, we emphasize the importance of being trauma-informed, as unprocessed trauma may surface during breathwork. Holding space for someone in this vulnerable state requires specific skills, such as understanding the nervous system, recognizing signs of emotional release, and responding with care and empathy. Our certification program includes comprehensive training in how to facilitate breathwork safely, ensuring that you are fully prepared to guide others while managing any challenges that may arise.

Additionally, our curriculum teaches you how to honor the healing journey of your clients, how to maintain emotional and energetic boundaries, and how to foster a supportive environment where people can fully surrender and experience the benefits of breathwork.

So, while certification may not be a legal requirement, we strongly believe that proper training—especially when it comes to holding space for trauma—is crucial for anyone who wants to teach breathwork ethically and effectively. Our program at Breath of Gold® equips you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to step into this role with integrity, ensuring that both you and your clients are supported in their healing process.

Pre-Recorded Sessions

   - The majority are pre-recorded. 

   - There are 14 hours of pre-recorded videos in the training. The videos are professionally recorded and high quality. The videos also include transcripts below for those with different learning styles who love to read along with it. 

Live Zoom Sessions

   - We also have optional weekly 90 min live sessions on Zoom. They alternate from being hosted on Thursday’s from 5-6:30pm PDT and Friday’s from 10-11:30am PDT. 

   - The goal is that if you desire to come to the live sessions, you can attend at least 2 sessions a month. We have people all over the world in our training which is why we have morning sessions and evening sessions. 

   - We frequently have guest speakers and Q&A calls to support you in learning the material. If you cannot make it live, you can watch the recordings in the online portal when it's convenient for you. 

This breathwork certification includes 16 weeks of our Sunday Breathwork classes from 5:30 - 7 pm Pacific Time hosted on Zoom.

Accountability Buddies

   - We set you up with an accountability buddy to go through the program together so that you can stay on track with the intention of graduating in 4-months. We recommend that buddies work together to go through the online modules for the first 2 months, reflecting on what they are learning so that they absorb the material. 

   - We recommend that in the second 2 months, they alternate guiding each other in online breathwork sessions every other week so build confidence in their teaching abilities before the test-out. 

   - Often, buddies become lifelong friends and continue swapping breathwork sessions even after graduating this breathwork certification!
